The solo project Qayeq by Iranian artist Avin Ahmadi (oud, voice) invites audiences on a musical journey where original compositions intertwine with reimagined traditional Persian songs. Each piece becomes a universe of emotion and poetry, carrying listeners like a raft (qayeq) floating on a calm river, through waves of sound and feeling. Born in Tehran and based in Vienna, Avin Ahmadi (b. 2004) is a composer, improviser, and performer who turns each appearance into a profound and transformative musical experience.
