Pianist Dragoș Andrei Cantea in a winter-themed recital

There are only a few days left until A December Affair, part of the Classix Concerts series, performed by pianist Dragoș Andrei Cantea. The recital will take place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in the Aula of the “Mihai Eminescu” Central University Library in Iași.

The recital features a program focused on both contemporary and classical repertoire, selected to highlight the expressive diversity of the piano. Dragoș Andrei Cantea thus continues his artistic and educational activity associated with Classix—a mission that combines performance, research, and the promotion of chamber music in a way that resonates with today’s audiences.

The Aula of the “Mihai Eminescu” Central University Library remains one of the main venues of the Classix Concerts series, appreciated for its acoustics and its easy accessibility for the audience in Iași.

In parallel with the winter concert series, the call for applications for the Classix in Art scholarships—dedicated to young artists at the beginning of their careers—closed yesterday. During the same period, the first confirmed events for the 2026 edition of Classix Festival were announced. The festival will take place between March 1–8, 2026, in Iași. The public can already explore part of the program, which includes the following concerts: Voces del Amor (March 2, Casa de Cultură a Studenților), Rhapsody in Motion (March 3, Casa de Cultură a Studenților), Love Frequencies (March 4, Palatul Culturii), In Between (March 5, Aula of the “Mihai Eminescu” Central University Library), and The Sound of Us (March 7, Sala Unirii – Cinema Victoria).
